Williams Dam and Beyond

Little trip, big fun.  0900 hrs.  Denny, Linda, Marlis and I left our house with no set plans other than ride to French Lick and eat at the (over priced) French Lick Resort.  I didn't know they had raised their prices again.  $32 bucks a couple!

We just wanted to ride!  Denny suggested Hwy 450.  (It's Russell's favorite highway.  I wish he could have been with us.)  Marlis and I had never been to Williams Dam, and Denny thought we ought to see it.  The last time I rode Hwy 450, I was following Steve Shoemaker.  Have you ever followed Steve on 450?  I almost pooped my panties!

Long story short, we had a great time!  Taking part in a group ride, even a small group, of like-minded indivduals is one of the ultimate motorcycling experiences.  It's a great way to share the fun and camaraderie of motorcycling.

Webmeister's note:  I found a web page with photos taken when the dam and power plant were constructed nearly 100 years ago.  I thought this aerial photo was particularly interesting. You can see all the photos here.
