Exploring Milltown's Mines

Having visited the old limestone mines the day before, Rick and Nature Dave returned to the rock quarry better prepared for some serious cave exploration.

We don't need any stinking flashlights!  We got headlights! Have you ever heard of motorcycle spelunking?  Well you have now.
This time, equipped with headlamps and flashlights, Rick and Dave went further back into the mine maze.  The conditions of the mine became very foggy and dark; very, very dark.
It was time to shake off the eeriness of the mines.  It wasn't hard to find good back roads to Salem and lunch at Mama Mia's; a good choice.  A look at the topo map and it was off to the area west of SR 135 and south of the Muscatatuck River.  The abandoned bridge at Wheeler's Hollow looked like a good place to stop and stretch.
Rick spotted an old river camp.  Do folks still live there?  Only one way to find out.  No, it wasn't a crazed hillbilly wearing his wife-beater shirt that rushed out the door.  It was only Nature Dave checking the refrigerator for cold sodas.
Crossing the bridge at Sparksville, the trip continued across the Devil's Backbone on Tunnelton Road to Bedford.  After some rehydration, it was back on the road.  IN 450 to be exact.  Next stop, William's Dam.
It's not certain if it was this vision of Nature Dave sprawled out on his GS, or the smell of dead fish, or perhaps both, but Rick's stomach began to churn.  Time for some of the fresh air of the road.  The cool shaded twisties of 450 was what was needed to refresh the two and deliver them safely home.
